Paraphrase of the Bayeux Tapestry

Working prototypes for the project website. The flagship combines the strongest ideas; the lettered pages are the individual pieces. All use the 42 prints already published. Use the bar at the top to move between them.

★The Exhibition

The flagship: everything combined into one site promoting the unveiling. The thread-to-ink opening, the wall with Look Closer, the story, the printing process, then visit and tickets.

AThe Wall

The frieze as a horizontal gallery: swipe, drag or scroll sideways. Tap any print to look closer, with notes, a loupe and previous/next.

BPaper & Press

In 3D, step by step: a copper plate is bitten, inked, wiped and run through the press. Then you can hold any print under a raking light.

CThread to Ink

A banner embroidered in the original wools unravels, thread by thread, into the etching.

ELook Closer

A loupe, annotated details and a “Find it” game. It is now also built into the Wall.
